Family planning services provide information, education, and ways for men and women to be able to plan when to have children, how many children, how many years the age between children, and when to stop having children. Fertile Age (EFA) can determine contraceptive choices according to their conditions and needs based on information they have understood, including advantages and disadvantages, the risk of contraceptive methods from health workers. Family Planning Program (KB) is carried out in order to regulate the number of births or forbid births.
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the selection of long-term contraceptive methods in post-saline mothers at Bashori Surabaya BPM. The design used is cross sectional. Samples were taken by accidental sampling totaling 45 respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using chi square.
The results showed that most respondents (71%) chose to use long-term contraceptive methods. There was an influence between partners with the selection of long-term contraceptive methods (p = 0.039). There is a health effect with the selection of long-term contraceptive methods (p = 0.014). There is an effect of the type of contraceptive method with the selection of long-term contraceptive methods (p = 0.021). KB counseling services are needed to improve maternal decisions after copying to choose a long-term contraceptive method.
